OBAMA for PRESIDENT!
"We're ready to take the offense for organized labor. It's time we have a President who didn't choke saying the word 'union.' We need to strengthen our unions by letting them do what they do best --- organize our workers. If a majority of workers want a union, they should get a union. It's that simple. We need to stand up to the business lobby that's been getting their friends in Congress and in the White House to block card check. That's why I was one of the leaders fighting to pass the Employee Free Choice Act. That's why I'm fighting for it in the Senate. And that's why we'll make it the law of the land when I'm President." Barack Obama, Dubuque, IA, November 13, 2007 Ron JordanSubmitted by ATU 1700 on Wed, 01/24/2007 - 11:18am.
Eboard member since: 1999 ATU 1700 member since: 1974 Ron is a veteran employee of Greyhound Lines. He has been a driver out of Cleveland since 1974. Ron worked the extraboard for many years before being awarded his first regular run, so he understands the concerns and needs of all Greyhound employees. Ron played major roles defending the union in the bitter Greyhound strikes of 1983 and 1990, when the company was hell-bent on destroying our union. He witnessed first hand the hardships and sacrifices endured by Greyhound workers to defend their jobs and their union. And he worked with labor and community organizations that supported those struggles. He understands the meaning of the words unity and solidarity.»

Rosters Merged with Work by Location
The tables under these headings present another way of looking at the driver rosters of those locations where merging the rosters is proposed than the way the information was shown in Solidarity Road. These tables show Greyound drivers and the annual wages of the jobs in each location in black merged with the subsidiary company's drivers and jobs in red. Subsidiary locations in which there are no Greyhound drivers simply show all the drivers and the work as they are now in red. »
