Jimmie has been driving for Greyhound out of Cleveland since 1979. He has served his co-workers in union capacities since 1981. He has been a Drivers Rep, Shop Steward, Run Committee Member, Run Committee Chair, Pension Trustee, Health and Welfare Trustee, and Executive Vice President of National Local 1700. He has been a driver instructor since 1989. “This Executive Board has been the strongest in the history of Local 1700. This Executive Board has delivered the best contract in over 30 years and has stood up to the company when it has tried to dismantle us as a united union. So let’s keep this unit together to continue building a better place to work. We still have a long way to go."
