We’re still working on a few outstanding issues, mostly related to the health care language for the new contract.  I hope to be able to announce a complete agreement in the very near future.  Meanwhile, your Contract Action Committee leaders have information on most of the terms of the nearly-completed deal. 

          The good news is that what’s been agreed to is entirely forward-looking.  The company responded to your contract demands in ways that show that it expects to grow and become prosperous again.  We are very close to having a deal that will be an excellent bridge to a prosperous future for drivers, mechanics, bus service workers, and everyone who works at Greyhound.   

          The deal has improvements in wages and health care benefits, many beneficial changes to rules governing the extraboards, regular run drivers, and all maintenance department workers.

          Roadkill will be updated when we finally reach agreement on all the stubborn specifics that are still out there.
