Industry News and Headlines
1) Click on "Industry News and Headlines"
2) If/when you find a story worth promoting to the "Top 1700
Stories" block, click on "full article". Select and copy the first
sentence or two (in most cases)for use as a "teaser".
3) Press the back button on your browser to return to the feed page.
4) Click "edit" under the article you have selected for promotion.
5) Click "disable rich-text" under the "Teaser" field. Then replace
the contents of the field with the sentence(s) you copied from the
article.
6) For "Story" select "Top 1700 Stories".
7) Under "Input format" select "Rich text, unfiltered".
8) Under "Publishing Options" check "Published" and "Promoted to front page".
9) Click "Submit".
10) Repeat until all desired stories have been promoted.
AFL-CIO Weblog
1) Click on "moderate feeds" in the "Feeds" menu in the left-hand column.
2) Click on "AFL-CIO Weblog".
3) Click on "edit" under the story you would like to promote to the front page.
4) In the "Teaser" field, select and copy the first sentence or two.
5) Click "disable rich-text"
6) Replace the contents of the teaser field with the sentences you just copied.
7) Under "Input Format" select "Rich text, unfiltered".
8) Under "Publishing Options" check "Published" and "Promoted to front page".
9) Click "Submit".
10) Repeat until all desired stories have been promoted. You can
return to the feed by clicking the text "AFL-CIO weblog" near the top
of the posting.
Labourstart
1) Click on "moderate feeds" in the "Feeds" menu in the left-hand column.
2) Click on "Labourstart".
3) Click on "edit" under the story you would like to promote to the front page.
4) Under "Publishing Options" check "Published" and "Promoted to front page".
5) Click "Submit".
6) Repeat until all desired stories have been promoted. You can
return to the feed by clicking the text "Labourstart" near the top of
the posting.
